miracles.

I debated on sharing this post due to our privacy.
There are known people who have visited our site and others,
who are faking a multiples pregnancy.
{100% truth}.
It's creepy.

However, I still want to share our story,
because it is one of overcoming all odds.
 {HOPE}

It is the same reason I share
Ethan's triumph over cancer.
{HOPE}

I ran into someone recently
while dropping E off at school.
Her daughter is very early on and
having some scary problems.
She needed to hear some encouragement.
She asked about our boys,
figuring they were born early.

The story I gave her is what you'll see here.
So on the eve of my little boys' 2nd birthday.
I share our miracles.
Who can't use a little...
{HOPE}?

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

On a wall within our living room
I placed these words...

EVERY DAY HOLDS THE POSSIBILITY OF A MIRACLE

I vividly remember the day I put them there.
Praying for another child,
filled with uncertainty and
trying to trump it with years of faith and hope.

Thanking God for our son and his health.

Now, I look at those words and think...
If I only knew what was ahead!

Not a miracle, but...

MIRACLES

I put this together more than a year ago,
but it is fitting to share this special birthday week.

Our boys have come so far.

Please do not copy or share this video.
It is a peek into a very special time in our lives.
We are happy to share, but only here, in the comfort of our blog.
{thank you}

I will resume Our {Wonderfilled} Week
posting next week.

Off to spend some time with the most
awesome 6-year-old ever before bedtime.

Tonight before the boys went down to bed,
he told them tonight you get 2 stories,
and when you're 3, I'll read you 3 stories,
and when you're 4, I'll read you 4 stories...
best.big.brother.
{lucky guys!}

Sweet Dreams!

{michelle}

Oh yes, and the boys have lovely colds, all 5, thanks
to back-to-school, and it's supposed to storm on Saturday,
but we will still dance despite the rain!

{Victoria, thank you for your sweet comment on the few minutes
this original post was up!}

The Bands of Our Boys

This photo gets me all teary-eyed.
{every time}

I don't think it will ever lose it's intensity.

Their sweet and proud Dad
thought to snap it
just after their birth,
as they put the bands of
4 tiny little miracles
on our wrists.

They were bound to us,
and us to them.

It meant they made it.
A whole lot of prayers answered.

It brought us back to the
very first time we became parents.

Sometimes it's not the photos
that I take time to coordinate outfits for
or plan out that are the most meaningful.
It's ones like these that are taken,
spontaneously, joyously, that capture it all.

Every time I look at it,
I will never forget,
how I felt,
in that incredible moment.

More Party Project Fun!

Hi there,
hope you all had a
beautiful weekend!

We worked on lots of projects,
and took the boys somewhere super fun,
will share soon.

In the meantime,
here are a few projects
I finished up this weekend,
with some help from my
hunky partner-in-crime.

Thanks babe, for making what's important
to me important to you!

Here's the racecar all finished up!
I am so happy with how it turned out!
We had this awesome blue pallet that some
of our patio materials were delivered on...
said blue pallet sat on our driveway,
waiting to be turned into a frame!

{ok, it had to be completely deconstructed,
per referenced hunky husband}

{Vintage Racecar Art with Pallet Frame}

Cakeplates all finished too.
Finally found the perfect plates at Target,
for $1.79, yep I'll take 4!

I am still in love with the candlesticks,
just sitting together so nicely at Goodwill,
love when stuff like that happens!

{Super Simple Cake Plates}

This last project is a sneak peek.
The buckets are from the painting section
of Home Depot to which I added the numbers.
Hooks went into another pallet we had
on hand from the patio, and voila!

{Number Buckets with Pallet}

I love what it is going to be used for,
stay tuned!

Until soon,
have a fantastic Tuesday!

Thanks for humoring
all my birthday project posts!
You're the best!
{smile}

Happy to link up to these lovely parties this week!
and I'm linking up to Today's Creative Blog.

Vintage Wheels: Thrifty Sneak Peeks!

That sunshine I mentioned?...
well it turned to rain.
{how dare it!}

Party prep projects were moved indoors.
{ahh well}

I thought it would be fun to
share a few sneak peeks with you
of projects I have been working on this past week!
I will add tutorials later on.

{my favorite}
This artwork I created using
acrylic paints, burlap,
tires from a wounded plasma car,
new spray painted washers,
and a #2 I found at Meijer while grocery shoppin'.
Total about $5.00

Still have a few things to finish up on it,
can't wait to finish.
{so what am I doing on here-grin?!}

{our pretty new-to-us tray tier}
Total $5.00, not including spray paint or adhesive
inspired by this one.
I love that the middle tray is different,
it has some beautiful etching, I'll try to get a better picture.
A few days after I found it, I found a matching
serving tray at another Goodwill...fate!
-and-
{picture frame redo into framed chalkboard}
Total $3.00 frame, already had chalkboard paint.

All found at Goodwill.

{four wooden candlestick holders}
These were all found together,
meant-to-be,
turning into cakestands for the boys' little cakes!!

Just sitting waiting for me to work on them...
{hi, remember us?!}

They were $1.00 each from Goodwill.

{new sign, leaving the rest a surprise!}
Created from those same acrylic paints, wood, and some homemade stencils.

{if you are coming to the party, don't share the next 2 with the kiddos, smile}

Our Toys 'R Us is going out of business.
{40% off all toys, oh darn!}

E and I took a trip there,
restrained ourselves majorly,
but did pick up some items for the
birthday boys a game and ramp for E.

These hot wheel cars for favors,
about 65 cents each.
I even found some with the number 2!

And favor bags,
paper bags we had,
some bakers twine I ordered
from Garnish, along with a few other items.

The lovely stickers
I ordered from my new friend Andrea's ETSY shop,

They highlight each of my boys and
the 4 vehicles incorporated into their party...

Red Double Decker Bus, Train, Racecar and Trike

{so fun, right?!}

I hope you are all having a fantastic Saturday!

Over and out,
I have some little guys calling me...!

The Blonde and The Brunette

a little party prep break

My two playing today...

{BROTHERS}

...got me thinking about...

{SISTERS}

these two playing circa 1980s

The blonde hair, the brown hair,
one straight, one curly,
the blue eyes, the brownish eyes...
carried down to the next generation.

Already receiving the same remarks...
yep, we're related!!

Yes, if you're wondering my older sisters' shirt does
have a picture of a hamburger on it and the word RARE
{tee hee}
Mine has a picture of a credit card.
{hmmm}

Thankfully not one soul in my family
writes or reads blogs
{I think?!}
so I think I am safe posting these.
{snicker!}

Don't forget to enter...
ends tomorrow at midnight!!
