Time for "The Talk"

You know "the talk,"
the one  you give yourself
when you're trying to accomplish something
that you pretty much think
is impossible at this point.

In the football world,
it would definitely qualify
as a Hail Mary.

Usually Matt is around for the talk,
adding some encouragement.
Lucky for him the
lawn is calling.

I am afraid to list these things
because I don't want a list I can add to
{eek!}.

This week has been crazy busy.

{BTW, I am not a big fan of the word
busy,
it's a relative term,
we are all busy, so please excuse me!}

The boys are sick.
Tomorrow's forecast calls for storms.
I was in the ER.
Liam had his long-awaited appointment with his neurologist yesterday.
E started a bunch of extras this week,
{which he loves, not a bad thing just consuming!},
My idea for the boys' birthday yesterday did not go as planned,
due to numero uno mentioned.

I was making Pioneer Woman's Spicy Dr. Pepper pork
at an hour when pork should not be made.
I don't even eat pork,
please do not
put me through the ringer
via Oprah's cattle battle.

OK, who I am I kidding,
no one cares about me
not eating pork.
I don't eat red meat either.

Now look what I started!

{major tangent}

I could go on.
{couldn't we all?}

So, here's the best advice
I can give myself today...

Really now.
Keep.the.perspective.

I am just grateful
that while at the point of
freaking out

I know none of this really matters,
seriously I am not just blowing sunshine.

Yes, I will still get frazzled.
I will be running errands hoping
I do not run into anyone.
Time for shower yes.
Time for hair and makeup,
heck no!

So whatever you're planning this weekend,
I am sending some good thoughts your way.
I will be saying some Hail Marys myself.
And I hope everything turns out as you hoped.

If it doesn't, I hope you
enjoyed it anyway!!

Happy Friday!!

  5. I think maybe it's good for me to hear sometimes that even amazing women such as yourself get frazzled sometimes. I definitely know how you feel, but you do so much! Love the quote because I am positive it's all going to turn out amazing!
